Nuts and Bolts

I’ve been debating the New Who companions all day. It’s funny, because my favorite is Donna, and my least favorite is Amy. And my friend is flip flopped the other way.

(And it’s not that I hate Amy Pond, she is not a bad character, I just wish she’d done more, and that all that potential for her to stand up and do somethingand not just be remembered for all time as the girl who waited, when she could be so muchmore)

I’m suddenly hoping the new companion is a weeping angel that becomes human and retains some sense of being a part of an old and terrifying race. A companion that’s kind of spooky and different and exciting.

It would be fucking cool, I think, to have a companion that the Doctor really has to get used to. Because if you think about it, the angels aren’t evil, they’re just trying to survive. So it’s possible, right?

It’s never going to happen, is it?

Here I am then, one step closer to being cool. I’ve seen the Daleks come back from the brink of extinction (they tend to do that a lot, actually), I’ve watched Rose Tyler travel farther than anyone, I’ve heard the drums, I know the name of the most important woman in the universe, I’ve seen the cracks in the universe, and I know what question results in silence.

And very soon I will move backwards and onwards, through seven more regenerations worth of time and space (and a movie, why not). Soon I shall have acquired knowledge of every Doctor.

I wish I had my laptop working. Then I could’ve just posted a gif and keysmashed and you all would’ve understood.

RIP me, punched in the feelings by Doctor Who.

On board the TARDIS.

Had a motherfucking Doctor Who marathon this weekend. Season 1 and half of season 2 (of the newer episodes) have been conquered. After I hit the end of Netflix’s stock, I’ll be working through the older doctors. And Torchwood. :)

So there you have it. I am now well on my way to becoming the internet.
